This is the end

Well I am here to inform you that Devon has finally returned to Melbourne. So after over three months on the road the trip is finally over. Dave did not make it as far as what Devon did. He buggered off from the heat and went over to the other side of the world. Dave is still overseas having fun in Scandinavia while Devons return gives him a slightly different career path.
So were there good days YES. And were there bad days YES. I cant speak for Devon but the worst day for me must have been funny to watch and that was when I was Mucho and didnt take a sea sick tablet because they are for girls. Yep I got really sea sick. But that doesnt mean I am a girl.

Anyway the time has come to say thanks to all the people that helped to make our road trip possible. You all know who you are and as for me I hope to see you all very soon.

Also thanks to Devons family they have been super suportive of us going away and all the people who said so many good byes. And three more great people we met on our trip. I just want to say it was great to meet Nathan, Scottie and Ben all Poms and all good blokes.

This is my final farewell, unless we hit the road again to finish off the trip we started.

Is this the end?

Well after several fun weeks on the road it looks like the trip is over. Well at least for a while. Dave has the opportunity to travel over to Finland whilst Dev has decided to stay in Townsville and look for work and see more of Queensland. It was heaps of fun and we met a lot of good people (Scottie, Nate and Ben) well good for Poms?
So a huge thanks to everyone who put up with us and surviving Daves sense of humour. Thanks to the Murphys at Cowra and drink river park wines. When going through Crescent Head Devndave stay at the Mediteranian Motel and eat Micks food. In Brisbane we always stay at Lindas and in Cairns we stay in the bush with all the wildlife at Stefans and in Townsville hear all about the cowboys.
So look out for Dave in Finland and keep ringing Dev and checking out the latest news.

Road Train

I have a slightly crazy friend in Finland who has always wanted to see a road train. I didnt get one in action but we did find one parked at a road house.
So Matti this ones for you

Road Blocked

We left Cairns on Friday morning to head down to Townsville. We had only one hour to go which due to circumstances out of our control we were held up for around three hours between Ingham and Townsville.
There was a head on collision and I think I heard that three people had died from the accident.

Vegemite

We are still in Cairns and man it pretty much hasnt stopped raining. And in Cairns there is nothing to really do when it rains. But Dave did manage to find something to fill in his time. It involves Danish tourists and Vegemite.

Rain Rain go away

Have you ever heard the saying Beautiful one day perfect the next? Well if rain is beautiful and even more rain is perfect then that ad was totally correct. Seriously it has hardly stopped raining all weekend.
So all you Queenslanders who bag our (Melbournes) weather please think again.

Bye Bye Brisbane

Well we said good bye to Crescent Head on Friday morning and headed back out to the big wild Australia. We dropped in on Byron Bay (which is really nice) on the way to Brisbane. We spent an afternoon on the Gold Coast and then headed of to Cairns. So here we are talking to you in the hot and very humid Cairns. Dave will be out tomorrow with his little toys in the morning so perhaps we might have something to show you soon.
We better head off because we need to sweat some more?

On The road again

Hey we are back on the road again this time we are heading towards Dubbo. We have fond memories of Cowra and we have seen almost every part of the loveley place but it aint a road trip if we stay at just the one place.
We have put together a short highlights movie of Cowra so I hope you enjoy watching it. We had a lot of fun making this.

The Long and Winding Road

We (Dev and Dave) Have finally hit the road. After several failed attempts and many going away parties we finally have made it out of good old Frannga and into a place that use yellow and black number plates ? We are curently in good olde Cowra where the Japanese broke out of during WW2. It is a lovely place with lots of history and for Dave it has a lot of Family history. So here we are but we still havent worked out where we will be next. It could be Dubbo and it could be some where on the coast. But when we work out where we are going to go and can be bothered to jump on the net and tell I promise you that you will be the first to know.

Latest NEWS

Well there is no news which I guess is the latest news. We have had a few technical issues in our planned departure but we have sorted them out. So it is off to the Mountains first and from there we will have to do a visit to the holy grounds of Bathurst for a lap of Mt Panorama. So watch out for that video. I wonder if we can do a full lap quicker than Mark Skaife? But then again if we make it past Hell corner we will be doing better than him.
